Reamer Keller in College Humor, April 1938

Cartoonist Reamer Keller's sole contribution to the April 1938 College Humor is a caveman gag with a prehistoric double entendre. What could have been on the mind of all those college students?
"The last time I scared her she jumped right out of her skin"
Reamer Keller
College Humor, Vol. 7, No. 4, April 1938, page 37

Note:  The April 1938 number of College Humor referenced above is one of more than 5,600 magazines in the Steven Boss humor magazine collection at Columbia University.
I photographed this cartoon and many others in the Rare Book and Manuscript Library on March 10, 2016, over the course of some two hours. At the time this cartoonist was unknown to me so it was indeed a learning experience. The Butler Library which houses this collection is now closed until further notice, but when it does reopen Curator for Comics and Cartoons Karen Green will be able to get you some skin in the game.

Attempted Bloggery seeks additional published work by Reamer Keller, from College Humor and elsewhere. Tomorrow I'll share the two final College Humor Keller cartoons I was able to photograph at the RBML. Someday I'll have to go back and check my work.
