My Entry in the New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest #488

Here is my entry in the New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest #488 for September 7, 2015. The drawing is by Charlie Hankin.

"See? It beats the view from Brooklyn."

Here are a few other caption ideas I did not submit:
"It still doesn't feel suburban."
"Isn't it time they finished the 2nd Avenue subway?"
"I'd prefer a tram."

September 28, 2015 Update:  Winning Caption

Note:  Last week, cartoonist Michael Crawford brought us into a bar on our hands and knees. My caption was soberingly similar to one of the finalists. Drink up the results of Contest #487 and let me know why I wasn't given a seat at the bar.

Charlie Hankin has been spotted at the bowling alley.
