My Entry in the New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest #669

Welcome to my entry in the New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest #669 for July 15, 2019. There is a one-drink minimum. The drawing is by John Klossner.

July 29, 2019 Update: I did not vote this time and for once all the finalists are really good. Perhaps I'd give the edge to Pittsburgh for its brevity, but Regina really has some bite to it.

Last fall at the Brooklyn Book Festival, Emily Flake gave a presentation along with fellow cartoonists Glen Baxter and Ben Katchor entitled “Hey, Some Comics are Still Funny!”—or was it renamed “Short But Sweet” prior to the festival? Anyway, Connie Sun moderated. Afterwards, outside the venue, Ms. Flake signed and inscribed copies of her 2015 book Mama Tried: Dispatches from the Seamy Underbelly of Modern Parenting.
