Auction Poster for the Navy Relief Society
Just five months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor and two months after the 1942 Navy Relief Show in Madison Square Garden, the Art Institute of Chicago hosted its own fundraiser for the Navy Relief Society in conjunction with the Illinois Art Project. Local artists donated works in a variety of media to the auction. The promotional poster was designed by Kenneth Whitley.
