Saul Steinberg and the New Yorker Welcome New Journalists

At some point, the New Yorker took a 1964 drawing by Saul Steinberg and used it to create a general welcome to a new crop of journalists. The specific occasion for which this print was created is unclear, perhaps the graduation ceremony of a journalism school. A framed copy was sold last summer on eBay. The choice of drawing is an interesting one, as it acknowledges with humor that journalists—and others—may encounter the unexpected in the course of carrying out their noble mission.
