I reported on a golf-themed New Yorker cover original illustration by Charles Addams back in 2017 when it was offered for sale by Taraba Illustration Art. Then freshly released from the collection of the Tee & Charles Addams Foundation, it was offered for price of $19,750 plus $100 for domestic shipping.

Yes, it was up for sale once again yesterday at Heritage Auctions in the Mainstream Illustration sale. The realized price, with premium, was not all that far from the 2017 price.

Note: Part 1 of this "Lady of the Lake" post from 2017 may be found here. Back then, I mistakenly called the chance to buy the piece a once in a lifetime opportunity. We live and learn. I don't know if the watercolor found a buyer at that time.
