My Entry in The New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest #736

This one took me way back. Below is my entry in The New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest #736 for December 7, 2020. The drawing is by Michael Maslin.

"Fine. You wear that and I'll evolve wings."

These captions didn't survive the crunch:

"Forget fashion forward. I want food forward."
"But will it stop a meteor?"

December 14, 2020 Update:  The Finalists

December 21, 2020 Update:  I voted (okay, maybe a little past the deadline) for the caption from Brattleboro. Not only do I think it's the funniest, but it has the singular merit of sharing a word with my own entry.
