I'm not familiar with the work of cartoonist Muriel Jacobs. The biographical tidbit from this eBay listing stating that she published work in The New Yorker appears to be suspect. This drawing came out of her estate and shows, it seems, an accurate ancient Roman foretelling of the 20th Century husband phenomenon.
