Audubon Plates from The Birds of America

Yesterday's post featured John James Audubon's complete The Birds of America, the classic ornithologic work. Today's post shows four individual plates from the famous set. The Birds of America is based on the watercolors of Audubon, but the actual engraving was done by Robert Havell.
