My Entry in the New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest #512

Here is my entry in the New Yorker Cartoon Caption Contest #512 for March 7, 2016. The drawing is by Harry Bliss.

"I don't care how many it sleeps."

March 28, 2016 Update:  Winning Caption

Note:  Last week Jack Ziegler got out the mismatched snow shovels. My caption was as pure as the driven snow, but it drifted. (Ouch!) Don't throw your back out when you see the results of Contest #511.

Harry Bliss's work is in the blog archives. Take it to the mat...

  1. I've been uninspired by the recent cartoons. But I did enter this one: "Extreme Yoga is on Thursday." Runner up: "I don't care if they were going out of business."

  2. If a lone doesn't immediately jump to mind I'm screwed. On this one the guy looked defensive so I thought "I told you: size does NOT matter."
