Alice's Adventures in Wonderland Illustrated by Arthur Rackham, No. 496/1130

Peter Harrington Antiquarian Bookseller  of London offers a rare copy of the 1907 edition of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, illustrated by Arthur Rackham. It is copy no. 496 of the limited edition of 1130, signed by Rackham who added a small drawing of the Mad Hatter in profile.

Arthur Rackham: Alice and the Pack of Cards

In 1907, British illustrator Arthur Rackham created the art for a new edition of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The original watercolor for the iconic scene in which "the whole pack [of cards] rose up into the air, and came flying down upon her," Alice, is currently held by Peter Harrington of London. Arthur Rackham: Off With His Head!

From the archives of Christie's New York in 2009 comes a breathtaking copy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (the 1907 edition) by Lewis Carroll. The book has an original ink and watercolor drawing by illustrator Arthur Rackham. The drawing depicts the bloodthirsty Queen of Hearts ordering the beheading of the Cheshire Cat, a floating, disembodied head.

Alice in Wonderland Signed by Ralph Steadman, Part 2

A copy of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland with Ralph Steadman's outstanding1967 illustrations is signed and inscribed by the artist. It is also dated 2 July 1980, the numbers of which have been transformed into on extremely minimalist drawing. The book is being offered on eBay for $650, a price which may or may not have ingested the wrong end of a mushroom.
