I just wasn't meant to write this week's caption—or even to steal it. It's a good thing New Yorker cartoon editor Bob Mankoff was able to do much better in finding twelve semifinalists as informed by the crowdsourced rankings:

Like you last week, mine is similar to one of the top 12: "This is much easier without the tuba." I'm surprised at the one they chose because they don't usually go for captions that have so much slang, but I guess that is a product of the new process.
