This commercial watercolor from 1988 by Jean-Michel Folon was sold last month at Christie's Paris for 2,500 Euros. Folon has a superb watercolor technique which I've always admired. This example of original artwork created by him for Wagons-Lits shows his stylized thin hands.
Folon was indeed born in 1934, but is it possible no one at Christie's Paris knows that he passed away in 2005?
