Second it gives the publication date as February 1957. Far more likely, this color cartoon appeared in Esquire. Given the subject matter, the cartoon would most likely have appeared in a December issue.
The appeal of this cartoon for Esquire's readers seems pretty straightforward. It depicts a young, shapely woman who is clearly not playing hard-to-get.
