The 2023 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

2014 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloon Inflation

One of my favorite things to do in New York is to attend the balloon inflation for the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. This takes place on the Wednesday night before the parade. The photographs are mine except as noted.

The 2013 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

This year I had to work on Thanksgiving Day, though even when I'm free I've managed to miss the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade more and more in recent years. Fortunately, a friend provided these festive photos. They were taken on Central Park West at 73rd Street. The trees you see in the background are in and along Central Park.
