Agatha Christie's Spider's Web

I won't try to summarize the plot to Agatha Christie's "Spider's Web" but I will say this obscure 1954 play is well worth a visit. It's tone is unusual for Christie, lighter and more humorous than one might expect from the celebrated mystery writer.

"Pippin" in Princeton

I enjoyed last night's performance of "Pippin" (1972) at the Hamilton Murray Theater on the Princeton University campus. It is the opening show of this season's Princeton Summer Theater. I still consider it the defining musical of my generation, though I'm less sure these days what that actually means. The 1998 Theo ending was new to me.
