Roz Chast: Surroundsound

Surroundsound is a cartoon by Roz Chast that was published on "The Back Page" of The New Yorker in the issue of April 2, 2001. The original art was sold at Heritage Auctions on November 4.


It deserves a closer look in its frame:


The piece was misdated 2002 at the time of the original purchase from the Julie Saul Gallery. This error was carried over into the Heritage listing.


Online bidding had reached $725 as of the night prior to the auction.
