Note: Two weeks ago Liam Francis Walsh created a caption contest in semaphore. I ran my caption up the flagpole but no one saluted. See the unflagging results of Contest #501.
The blog archives have two previous caption contests by Tom Toro.

I think yours is very good. I think "watching over me" is also good. I think one finalist will be something like that. I was thinking of something like "Now he's smiling down on us." I went with something that I knew was a long shot but I liked best: "The epitaph is written on his face."
ReplyDeleteOr "writ large." Thanks, gboris. On Monday all will be revealed...
DeleteAnother one I had: "It's a shame the tree has to go when I go."
