How does one follow up yesterday's Valentine's Day post featuring 39 Steps..., a superb cat drawing by Ronald Searle depicting some heroic--let's call it exercise? The artist's Morning Glow from 1983 seems the obvious choice. After selling way above its estimate at Christie's South Kensington in 2006, it made its way into the collection of Robert L. and Lydia Forbes. Yes, that Forbes family.
