Boomer's Name That Cartoon Caption for August 2024

Against my better judgment, I've entered the Boomer Name That Cartoon Caption contest for August 2024 with my second submission. In the July contest, my caption placed dead last, and for good reason. This time, I avoided making another atrocious pun and instead went with an obvious enough "see-say" caption. The cartoon is unsigned, evidently created using digital technology—quite possibly with the assistance of a human.

"Bite her, sure—but don't make off with her wig."

September 30, 2024 Update:  The Finalists

I really thought this cartoon was about Cleopatra, but no one else did and my unfunny submission didn't even make the top ten, which is just as well. Even so, I can't bring myself to vote for any of these true finalists.

Frank Modell: Roughing It with Cleopatra

Certain Books of Westhampton is currently offering this preliminary sketch for a 1961 New Yorker cartoon by Frank Modell. The subject is Cleopatra, looking rather unreasonable, and the price is $150, which seems very reasonable to me.

Frank Modell, "What a day!  Now she wants an asp!"
Inscribed "For Jean"
