Florence 2019: Galleria dell'Accademia
The Galleria dell'Accademia in Florence was built primarily to house Michelangelo's David. It also serves as the home to his Slaves, unfinished sculptures that reveal much of what we know about his working process. We were unable to gain entry to the Museum on July 11, so we purchased tickets instead for July 12, 2019.

Florence 2019: The Boboli Gardens
Rising up behind Florence's Pitti Palace are the Boboli Gardens which offer a good climb and great views. At the time of our visit (July 11, 2019) there was an installation of works by British sculptor Tony Cragg (born 1949). The exhibition closed in October of 2019.
