On Wednesday evening, this artist's proof by
William Low will be on the auction block at BookExpo America. It depicts the unfinished Cathedral of St. John the Divine in Manhattan with the sun setting beyond the Hudson River. The image was used in the Author's Note section of
Me and Momma and Big John (2012) by Mara Rockliff.
A number of prints are being offered in the sale, and I've been wondering why. Perhaps some of the children's book artwork was created digitally and in these cases only prints or preliminary artwork can be offered for sale.
