Cartoonist George Booth, who passed away Tuesday at age 96, brought a singular sensibility to his work. His drawings were quirky, often depicting eccentric characters and their equally oddball pets. Booth was also without peer when it came to making sketches in his books for friends and fans. Think Good Thoughts About a Pussycat (1975) was his first collection. Anyone with the good fortune to have him leave a drawing on the half-title page came away with a little gem.
