It seems Tom Bloom went into his library and came out with scans of the front and back covers of two vintage works by Siné (Maurice Sinet [1928-2016]). Scatty (1958) and Car...Toons (1964) are English-language cartoon collections from Reinhardt that were preceded by French editions. Siné would come to be known largely for his controversial political work, but these volumes of cartoons on the subjects of cats and cars are variations on more traditional cartoon themes. The drawings are accessible, using a direct and simple style often with bold lines. They betray a certain fondness for puns.
