New Yorker cartoonist Edward Frascino channels Cole Porter as he follow the time-honored tradition of quoting song lyrics in cartoon captions. The original art, bearing white-out corrections, carries a 1979 copyright sticker on the back. It was held for publication, though, until the week of Valentine's Day 1981. Perhaps there's some poetic irony that in 2015 it sold for a song.
