New Yorker Cartoonists for Cinemax

Premium cable network Cinemax chose the New Yorker's Cartoon Issue in 1997 to present four New Yorker-style cartoons by actual New Yorker cartoonists. The cartoonists are Leo Cullum, Victoria Roberts, and Mike Twohy—who got to draw two of them.

"Rick just wants to watch some Cinemax. He's exhausted from moving money around all day."
Leo Cullum, The New Yorker, December 15, 1997, page 20

"I'm taking you off talk shows and putting you on Cinemax."
Mike Twohy, The New Yorker, December 15, 1997, page 22

"He's been hooked on Cinemax ever since we stumbled on a great old Broderick Crawford movie."
Mike Twohy, The New Yorker, December 15, 1997, page 24

"You've been up all night watching Cinemax again. Haven't you?"
Victoria Roberts, The New Yorker, December 15, 1997, page 26
