This vintage original artwork by Peter Arno was offered on eBay for $3,000. It's a great cartoon but it has some condition problems, namely fading and yellowing. It ended up selling with the Make Offer feature for a respectable $2,600.
This piece came to market back in 2007 at Alex Cooper Auctioneers of Towson, Maryland with a preposterously low estimate of $100 - $150.
Peter Arno was born on this day in 1904 as Curtis Arnoux Peters, Jr.
