Charles Barsotti Up in the Clouds

Charles Barsotti has been on the staff of the New Yorker since 1970.  His style is clean, direct and bold.  Every now and then, a gag cartoon requires that extra second for you to get it, and that delay makes you appreciate it more.  I think he hit it out of the park with this one:
