Niki de Saint Phalle: Ballerina

I've always admired the work of Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002). Her sculpture Ballerina, for example, overflows with vitality and joy. I was puzzled by the lack of a presale estimate when it was offered at auction last month in Spain and more perplexed by the low opening bid of 300 Euros, which is what it ended up selling for.
