Would you look at that? Helen E. Hokinson's restaurant has its own quality control department trying to keep up with its marketing department. The New Yorker deliberately ran this cartoon very early in October 1947 to maximize its shelf life. The original art was sold in November at Doyle New York, proving that it still has some currency.
