In the wake of the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy that boiled over in 2006 over the publication of twelve editorial cartoons published in a Danish newspaper, Gerald Scarfe created his own version of an Offensive Cartoon. This drawing was sold at Christie's in 2007.
