The 14th Street subway station is the setting for a gag cartoon by
George Price in which a couple of regulars discuss the possible social benefits of a fare increase. The original artwork was offered at Illustration House in 2007. The auction house listing describes the medium as pen and ink with "blue watercolor." The blue is actually Ben-Day, which reproduces in print as gray tone.
