Mary Ellen's Copy of The Art in Cartooning

Mary Ellen must have said she liked trains. Four cartoonists who made original sketches in her copy of The Art in Cartooning (1975) managed to stick to the subject, while another four did not. Either way, Mary Ellen came out a winner.

July 9, 2020 Update:  The seller has lowered the price twenty percent to $960.

Note:  This is the second copy of The Art in Cartooning signed (and sketched upon) by these eight cartoonists to appear on this blog. The first copy, dedicated to one Charles, may be seen here. I would like to hear from anyone with information about the March 1976 signing. I'd also love to show other unique copies of this book, one of several landmark cartoon books issued in 1975.
