Whitney Darrow, Jr.: Employee Initiative

In 2007, Illustration House sold this original 1955 artwork for the New Yorker by Whitney Darrow, Jr. The subject matter, an employee threatening his boss with bodily harm, is perhaps not the ripest for office humor.

"At last, Morton, you're showing some initiative.
You can have the raise."
